Database Engineer

Job Description
We currently have a vacancy for a Database Engineer fluent in English to offer his/her services as an expert remotely. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated and will closely cooperate with a major client’s development team remotely.
Your tasks
- Detailed design of components of the system, following internal working practices and standards;
- Design and development of user interfaces, with the user;
- Construction and testing of the program modules;
- Documentation of the system components;
- Communications with internal customers on the project issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of combined relevant university studies and experience in IT;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and querying RDBMS databases as well as SQL Server database programming including writing complex stored procedures and functions;
- In-depth understanding of data modelling and database design;
- Experience preparing data for use in Visualization tools like Power BI;
- Experience in evaluating existing databases and recommending improvements for performance as well as assessing the current data landscape alongside future data analytics requirements;
- Experience in reporting tools (SSRS), building automated Open Data Publishing through ETL, and Cloud-based Azure Data Services Solutions is considered an asset;
- Experience in Data-as-a service solutions based on Data API gateway as well as analytical models to support business intelligence is considered an asset;
- Excellent command of the English language.
