Kaleido is hiring a Deep Learning Engineer to extend and improve remove.bg, the market-leading solution for automated background removal with Artificial Intelligence.
Your roleAs an experienced developer you will play a key role in building the core components of the worlds leading solutions for automated background removal. Your contributions will have a direct impact on millions of users worldwide.
As an eager follower of the latest trends in visual AI research you have a deep understanding (no pun intended) of modern deep learning architectures (especially encoder-decoder like architectures), and will improve our products to stay ahead of the curve and develop new features and solutions. You will research best practices, develop novel approaches, work on prototypes and evaluate what performs best.
Found a medium article about a new optimizer? Great, lets evaluate it and see how it performs for our use case!
There is a new activation function that everybody is talking about? Awesome! Replacing ReLu is done in an instant and we can also try to combine it with the new optimizer!
You read about this novel approach in a CVPR paper? Lets take a closer look and see if it could be useful for us!
We encourage you to look into own ideas on how to improve existing networks or work on new solutions. You will experiment on a large scale on cloud infrastructure with high-end GPUs and TPUs. Of course you will also get the best hardware for local prototyping.
