Senior Frontend Developer

Kaleido is hiring an experienced Frontend Developer who is eager to help us implement UX-optimized JS/CSS3/HTML5-Frontends. Our products remove.bg and unscreen.com are the market-leading solutions for automated background removal with Artificial Intelligence, used by millions of users every day. Our current and future visual AI products unlock new levels of productivity amp; creativity worldwide.

• Create technical specs for, develop, test and release UI components and whole user flows, based on UX Wireframes and Visual Design specifications
• Write state-of-the-art Javascript software with performance, maintainability, responsiveness, accessibility, SEO and I18n in mind, with the ability to balance priorities and trade-offs based on requirements and experience
• Create public-facing APIs and SDKs, from concept to implementation and documentation
• Write modular code and tests for various JS runtime environments like web browsers, node.js, electron apps, mobile apps, and plugin environments
• Work closely with the UX and design team on UI layouts and behaviors, iterate based on feedbacks and tests
• Join the scrum team and attend efficient 2-weekly planning sessions

Requirements

• minimum of 5 years of experience with Software Development, should include at least 2-3 years with a focus on frontend development
• Rock-solid knowledge of HTML5 (e.g. tag semantics, accessibility, SEO markup), CSS3 (e.g. media queries, frameworks), ES6+ Javascript (e.g. webpack, babel) and REST APIs
• Experience with Vue or React (at least one year) and knowledge of best practices for them
• Experience in structuring growing JS applications, including refactoring and tooling decisions
• Experience with writing automated tests (unit tests, integration tests)
• Experience in creating API specs and API docs
• Experience implementing UI design specs
• Experience in startups and/or tech companies (1+ year) is a bonus
• A passion for clean and maintainable code
• Teamplayer with a keen eye for details, recognizing the value of design and aesthetics and a fundamental understanding of the importance of User Experience
• Eager to work with the latest technology
• Ability to make data-driven decisions

• The minimum salary for this position is 55.000 gross per year or more, depending on your qualifications and experience
