Requirements

Project Overview and responsibilities

Via our global network telco partners and our technology platform Mobucks we have access to pure deterministic mobile operator data. Mobucks Insights is a new product that enables our clients to run mobile polls and mobile surveys against a monthly subscription fee. Using Mobucks Insights capacities, we will then analyze large data sets through algorithms and statistical models providing, what else, insights into the data gathered through the mobile surveys.

As an intern with OTM, you will have an amazing opportunity to actively be involved in the finalization of Mobucks Insights and build from scratch the statistical models and the data analysis tools and processes.

As an OTM Intern you will be assigned an OTM Mentor, your go-to-person during the time of your internship, who will train you and advise you on how to be successful with your assigned tasks. The OTM Mentor will walk you through the available sets of data, the mechanisms we use to gather those sets as well as the data protection regulations we comply with and that need to be considered at all times.

As an OTM Intern your tasks will include the following:

• Create frameworks to analyze data
• Build tools to automate data analysis
• Build statistical models
• Transfer data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis, if needed
• Search through large data sets for usable information
• Assist in creating reports and presentations for business uses
• Correlate similar data to find actionable results

Qualifications

• Student or Graduate of Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science Studies or similar
• Some experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
• Ability to perform exploratory data analysis
• Working knowledge of statistics
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools, data science toolkits or data management tools is considered a plus
• Analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to details
• Excellent command of the English language

• Internship Duration: 2-3 months depending on time commitment. Could also explore a longer period with the OTM Mentor.

• Time Commitment:
  • Part time: 4-5 hours per day, to be agreed with the OTM Mentor. As this is a remote internship the daily working plan can be flexible.
  • Full time: 6-8 hours per day, to be agreed with the OTM Mentor. As this is a remote internship the daily working plan can be flexible.

The internship is non-paid, however transition to a permanent job is an option and is subject to the OTM Intern’s performance as well as several other factors, e.g. ambiguity caused by the pandemic.
