Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join our Precision Medicine team. In this role you will be responsible for receiving, quality controlling, and analysing primary human tissue samples from study centres across Europe. You will work closely with our clinical operations team and provide day-to-day logistical and operational support to our study centres and laboratory partners. Furthermore, you will be using cutting edge microscopy and AI based image analysis techniques to analyse drug response properties on primary human patient tissue samples and report back to our clinical operations team.

We’re seeking a Research Associate to contribute to our mission to develop better medicines, faster, to people around the world.


As the Research Associate you will have the opportunity to:

  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of precision medicine approaches for drug development and patient stratification in the clinic.
  • Apply cutting-edge high content microscopy and image analysis technology developed by our Ramp;D teams to questions of high clinical relevance.
  • Analyse and present the generated data to the team.
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of workflows and processes.
  • Troubleshooting of technical problems in the sample preparation and assay workflows.
  • Work within an international, multidisciplinary team and leading oncology centres across Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Americas and Asia.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in biomedical sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry or similar)
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in industry or a quality managed academic environment
  • Experience with common molecular and cell biology techniques including:

Handling and working with primary human tissues

Isolate and culturing primary human cells

Cell analysis and sorting by flow cytometry.

Fluorescence microscopy (Immunofluorescence).

Extraction, purification and handling of DNA/RNA.

  • Experience with -omics techniques including NGS, proteomics or working with high throughput screening and lab automation equipment is a bonus.
  • Experience in any program language (R, python) is a bonus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You are a diligent and reliable collaborator with attention to detail.
